Meet Trixie!  Trixie can be a little nervous when she first meets you, but once she gets to know you, her sweet personality really shines through.  She is a very affectionate, friendly and loving girl who absolutely adores attention.  When she sees someone she knows, she gets so excited, with her tail wagging away and her whole body doing a little happy dance! She really is a giddy, loveable girl.  Trixie can get excited and does jump up for attention, so her new family will need to be patient and help her learn some calmer ways to say hello.  She is an active girl who loves her walks, especially long walks where she can explore and take in all the sights and smells.  She would suit an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise, enrichment and adventures with her family.  One of Trixie’s cheekier habits is that she likes to rip up her bedding!  Her new owners may need to be prepared for a few replacement beds and provide her with plenty of appropriate toys and activities to keep her busy.  Despite her little quirks, Trixie is a sweet, affectionate and fun-loving young dog with lots of love to give.  She is looking for a home who will be patient while she settles in, give her plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.  She will need a private secure garden.

Trixie has socialised well with other dogs whilst in our care, but she can sometimes be a little humpy with her canine friends.  Her new adopter should be prepared to manage this behaviour and continue working on her doggy manners.  We do feel she could be rehomed with another energetic dog of similar size that would tolerate her humpy behaviour following a successful meet and greet (must be neutered).

As Trixie came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on her so would prefer any children in the home to be 12+ years.
