How It Works

  • A microchip is a non-removable chip, about the size of a grain of rice. It is inserted under your dogs’ skin and is read by a special scanner.
  • The scanner will detect the encoded barcode and then all it takes is 1 phone call to the main database to find out where the lost dog belongs.
  • A microchip means that we or another authorised body can contact the registered owners of a lost dog within minutes of it arriving in our care.
