Meet Sushi! Sushi has a huge personality and plenty of love to give! This lively, energetic girl is full of fun, enthusiasm, and character, and she certainly knows how to keep her humans entertained. She is a very friendly and affectionate girl who absolutely loves attention – especially a good belly rub! She can be very excitable and does jump up when she wants to say hello or get some fuss. She is a fun-loving girl who really enjoys interacting with people and being part of the action. Like many energetic dogs, Sushi can sometimes get a little over-excited. She is knows to be a bit mouthy during play, so her new adopter will need to be patient and consistent in helping her learn more appropriate ways to express her excitement. Sushi also has a mischievous side! When staff are cleaning her kennel, she loves nothing more than chasing the hose pipe, turning cleaning time into her own personal game. She is also quite a determined chewer and has been know to shred her bedding, so her new home will need to provide her with plenty of suitable durable enrichment. Indestructible or heavy-duty toys would be a good investment for this girl. Sushi can also be a little snatchy when taking treats, so she will benefit from calm, consistent handling and some positive reinforcement training around food and taking treats gently. Sushi needs a home that understands that beneath all her excitement is a fun, affectionate and loving girl who simply needs the right guidance, boundaries and outlets for her energy. Previous experience with the breed would be an advantage. She will need a private secure garden.
Sushi has interacted with other dogs whilst in our care and isn’t too bothered about them so we feel she would prefer to be the only dog in the home.

As she came into the home as a stray and can be a little mouthy we would prefer any children in the home to be 16+ years.
