This gorgeous boy is Helix.  He was very timid and nervous when he first came into us and it took the staff some time to gain his trust.  Once Helix has got to know you he will show you his friendly bouncy side and is always up for lots of fuss.  He can be a very boisterous boy but he is very keen to learn.  The staff have been working with him on his basic commands and he is doing really well and is very eager to please.  Helix will need an adopter that is willing to put in the time and commitment to carry on his training and put boundaries in place for him.   Helix is a very high energy dog with a zest for life.  We are looking for an active home for Helix where he can get all the exercise and mental stimulation he will need everyday.  Previous breed experience is essential.  Helix will need continued training and socialisation.  A private secure garden is a must for him so he can have safe off lead time in between his walks.

If you are German Shepherd savvy and looking for a lively, loving companion that loves learning and is eager to please then Helix could be the dog for you.

Helix has socialised with other dogs whilst in our care but is very unsure around them and can be a bit barky so for this reason we would like him to be the only dog in the home where he can take his time being around other dogs whilst out on walks with the full support of the new adopter.

No cats for Helix.

As Helix came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on him and as he is very boisterous and does need lots of training and socialisation we would prefer him to go to an adult only home.
