Meet this handsome boy Tommy!
Tommy is an ex racing greyhound who has spent his life in kennels. He is now looking for a comfortable and loving home to call his own. He will need a family that is happy to introduce and train him around everything that is involved in living in a home environment. Tommy is a very affectionate boy and has been described as a velcro dog by the kennel staff. He is after a home where he can get plenty of attention and cuddles throughout the day. He is a big foodie and is motivated by treats, which is a bonus to help with training.
Tommy is confident around staff and volunteers but due to his size we believe that he would be best suited to an adult only home.
Tommy is a little unsure around most dogs so will need further positive training to help build up his confidence in this area. He is currently paired with another greyhound in the kennel and has has no issues with her, so we believe that he could be rehomed with another calm greyhound or sighthound – subject to a successful meet.
No cats or small furries for Tommy due to his racing background.
Please do not apply for a dog if you have a holiday within the next 3 months.
*Applicants that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge
