Meet Tara!  This gorgeous girl is looking for an active, understanding home where she can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy everything life has to offer.  When Tara first meets new people or finds herself in unfamiliar situations, she can be nervous and unsure and may need a little time and patience to feel comfortable.  Once she gets to know you, though, her affectionate personality really starts to shine.  She is a friendly and loving girl who enjoys being around people she trusts.  Tara is still very much a youngster and is playful, energetic and full of enthusiasm.  She would love an active home with people who can give her plenty of exercise, playtime and positive mental stimulation.  She already knows some basic commands and is keen to learn, but she will benefit from continued training to help her become the best version of herself.  Tara can also be strong on the lead, so her new adopters will need to be comfortable handling her and willing to continue working on her lead manners.  Most importantly, Tara needs adopters who will give her the time, patience and reassurance she needs to build her confidence.  With consistent, positive training and a secure home, we feel this affectionate young girl has so much potential.  She will need a private secure garden.

Tara has socialised with other dogs whilst in our care.  She can be nervous initially and is then very jumpy and boisterous with them, with no off switch, so we feel she would be best rehomed as the only dog in the home where her adopters can work with her on her manners around other dogs.

No cats for her.

As Tara came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on her so would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years.
