Meet Pumba! Pumba is a gorgeous boy who was a little nervous when he first arrived with us, but it didn’t take him long to realise he was safe.  Before long, his lovely personality started to shine through, and he has blossomed into a very sweet, friendly and affectionate boy.  Pumba loves a fuss and is happiest when he is getting attention from his people.  He is a very vocal lad and certainly isn’t shy about letting you know what he wants – especially if there is a ball involved.  And speaking of toys … Pumba LOVES his toys! in fact, toys are his life!  His favourite part of the day is getting off-lead in our secure compound, where he can race around, play and chase after his favourite toys.  While he does enjoy a tasty treat, if you gave him the choice between a snack and a toy, we are pretty sure the toy would win every time.  Pumba is an active and energetic boy who will need a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm.  He new family should enjoy getting out and about and be prepared to give him plenty of exercise, playtime and mental stimulation.  A home where he can continue to enjoy lots of games, and, of course plenty of toys would be ideal.  Pumba will need someone who is willing to continue basic training and help him learn the routines and manners expected in a home.  He does sometimes urinate in his bed, so his new family will need to be patient and understanding while working on his toilet habits.  Pumba is a fun-loving boy with a big personality, plenty of energy and an even bigger love for his toys.  Pumba would benefit from a private secure garden.

Pumba has socialised well with other dogs while in our care, but he can be very full-on.  We do feel he could potentially live with another dog that would tolerate his boisterous play style following a successful meet and greet.

As Pumba came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on him, so would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years.
