Introducing Paddy 6 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross
Paddy arrived into our care as a stray.
On arrival, Paddy was clearly intimidated by the kennel environment and incredibly nervous around new people. The staff here have worked with Paddy daily, building his confidence and providing him with plenty of TLC to encourage him to come out of his shell. Slowly, we have seen a positive change in him and he will happily play with his toys around those staff members he feels comfortable with.
Paddy is at his happiest when out on his daily walks. He is always eager to explore and investigate everything the great outdoors has to offer.
Although we have seen slight improvement in Paddy’s confidence, he is still wary of strangers and new situations. For this reason, a training programme has been put in place for Paddy which includes lead training and socialising with other dogs. Paddy is looking for a committed and confident owner who is able to continue to provide him with the ongoing training and socialisation he needs. Further information regarding this will be discussed upon successful application.
Potential adopters must understand that due to Paddy’s nervous nature, he will require several consecutive visits before the adoption can take place. It is imperative that we go at a pace to suit Paddy.
Although Paddy has met a couple of our dogs here, he will need to be the only dog in the household. He is unable to live with children under the age of 16 years and cannot be homed with cats or small furries.
