Meet Nemo! Nemo is a lovely boy with a big personality and plenty of love to give. He can be a little nervous when he first meets you, but once he gets to know you, his true character really shines through. When Nemo sees someone he knows, he gets incredibly excited and happy to see them – his whole body tells you just how pleased he is! He is a very affectionate boy who absolutely loves fuss, attention and being around his people. He enjoys plenty of affection and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give him. Like many young, energetic dogs, Nemo can get a little over-excited. He does jump up for attention and become a bit mouthy when he is over stimulated, so his new owner will need to be patient and willing to help him learn appropriate ways to manage his excitement. Positive, reward-based training and consistency will be important for him. Nemo is a very active and energetic boy and will need an active home where he can get plenty of exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation. He would love a family who enjoys long walks and can give him opportunities to use both his body and his clever Cockapoo brain. He will need more than just a quick walk around the block! Nemo can be vocal when he is in kennels, so his new family should be prepared for him to need some time to settle into a home environment and feel secure. One thing adopters will also need to be aware of is that Nemo currently urinates on his bedding. This may be related to his current environment, routine or stress, but his new family will need to be prepared to work patiently with him on his toileting habits and not expect everything to be perfect immediately. Nemo has so much potential to be a wonderful companion. Once he feels comfortable with you, he is an incredibly affectionate and happy boy who loves nothing more than seeing his people and getting lots of fuss. He would benefit from a private secure garden.
Nemo has socialised well with other dogs while in our care, so we feel he could potentially be rehomed with another dog of similar size and energy levels following a successful meet and greet. (must be neutered).
No cats for Nemo.
As Nemo came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on him, so would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years.
If you have a holiday booked in the next 3 months, please wait until you return to apply for a dog.
