Introducing Gizmo, a Bichon Frise who arrived into our care as a stray.
On arrival, Gizmo seemed to adapt to the kennel environment well and appeared relaxed when in his kennel alone. However, when the staff entered the kennel, he became stressed and if approached would run away. He chose to remain in his bed and refused to interact.
Over the coming days, the staff tried patiently to gain his trust and slowly Gizmo started to become a little more confident around them.
Since growing in confidence, Gizmo has enjoyed a number of walks where he walks lovely on the lead. He has met some of our other dogs and has been interested in interacting, tail wagging and sniffing.
After a thorough check with our vets, it has become apparent that Gizmo is partially sighted which is something potential adopters must take into account.
Due to his nervous nature, Gizmo may require several visits with successful applicants before the adoption can take place.
With his sight issues and nervous nature in mind, Gizmo is looking for an adult only home.
