Introducing Finley, a bouncy Lurcher who arrived into our care as a stray.
Initially, Finley appeared bewildered by the kennel environment and the only way he knew how to interact was to bark. However, he soon began to show the playful side to his character and would welcome the staff into his kennel by jumping up for attention and a fuss.
Finley enjoys playing with his toys though does lack manners at times and gets a little carried away, sometimes puppy mouthing which is something potential adopters will need to work with.
Finley enjoys his daily walks but is strong on the lead which is something potential adopters must be aware of. With this in mind, Finley will require lead training. He does listen to commands and will stop and look at his handler when called.
Whilst in our care Finley has met a number of our other dogs. He is unsure of how to behave around them, often becoming vocal and appears uncomfortable, backing off as if he’s scared of them. For this reason, Finley will need an owner committed to working with him and socialising him around dogs in order for him to feel more comfortable in their company.
Finley is looking for an active household with a confident owner who is able to provide him with the ongoing training and socialisation he requires.
He is unable to live with cats and children therefore we suggest an adult only home for Finley
