This stunning girl is Fern!  She is looking for a patient and loving home where she can truly flourish.  When meeting new people, she can be a little nervous at first but does soon come around.  Once she feels comfortable her sweet, friendly natures shines through.  For a Norwegian Elkhound, she is a remarkably chilled-out girl.  She loves attention and does jump up to say hello, so her new adopter should be prepared to continue working on her manners in a positive way.  She walks well on the lead and enjoys getting out and about on long walks, so will need an active family where she can go on lots of adventures.  In our secure compound, her playful side comes alive – she loves to do zoomies and has great fun running around, showing just how happy she can be.  She does bark and howl when in her kennel, but she does settle down once she is out. Any potential adopter would need to bear this in mind.  She would benefit from a private secure garden where she can safely have off lead time. Experience with the breed or similar breeds would be an advantage.

She has socialised with other dogs whilst in our care, although she isn’t that interested in them she does enjoy going on social walks with other dogs.  We feel she could potentially live with another calm dog following a successful meet and greet. (must be neutered).

No cats for her.

As she came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on her so would prefer any children in the home to be 12+ years.
