This adorable boy is Cooper! He can be a little nervous when he first meets someone, but it doesn’t take him long to come out of his shell. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet and friendly personality really shines through. Cooper is a very affectionate boy who absolutely loves attention and cuddles. In fact, if he sees you sitting with your lap available there’s a very good chance he will climb straight on for some fuss. Cooper is a very energetic young boy who will need an active home that can give him plenty of exercise, enrichment and opportunities to burn off his energy. He loves off-lead time in our secure compound, where he enjoys playing with his toys and doing plenty of zoomies! Like many young dogs, Cooper can get very excited and will jump up for attention, so his new family will need to be patient and consistent with his training and help him learn there are calmer ways to ask for fuss. When Cooper sees another dog, he can initially bark, but once he has had the opportunity to meet them he can be much more settled and tends to avoid them. Any introductions should therefore be handled calmly and carefully, giving Cooper the time and space to feel comfortable. Cooper would suit an active home where his new family can give him plenty of exercise, playtime, affection and mental stimulation. His adopters will need to be prepared to continue working on his manners and his training and socialisation. Cooper has so much love to give and would make a wonderful companion. He will need a private secure garden, so he can safely have off-lead time to run around and do his zoomies.
Cooper would be best rehomed as the only dog in home, so he can take his time gaining his confidence around other dogs at his own pace with the full support of his new adopter.
No cats or small furries for Cooper.
As Cooper came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on him, and as he can be a little nervous we would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years.
