Introducing Bruce, a handsome Akita cross who arrived into our care as a stray.
Bruce is a friendly and bouncy boy who is loves attention and being made a fuss of.
He likes being out and about exploring the great outdoors and is happy to meet new people!
Whilst in our care, Bruce has had the opportunity to interact with a number of our dogs. Although he has interacted well with some, he often gets too giddy and will attempt to mount them. We have found that he has little manners when meeting other dogs and is often vocal and boisterous which some may find intimidating. We have continued to socialise Bruce daily and have recently introduced a head collar into his training programme. Although it’s taken a while for him to adjust to the head collar, we have found that when using this piece of equipment, Bruce pulls less on the lead, making it a much more enjoyable walk for both him and his handler.
Moving forward, we would like his new owner to carry on with this training and continue his socialisation.
Bruce is looking for an active and committed family where children are over the age of 16 years.
He would love his new owners to provide him with plenty of walking adventures!
