Introducing Basil, a male Cross breed who originally came into our care as a stray.
Basil recently went out to a home but unfortunately was returned into our care as his new owners found he would not settle when being left alone, therefore he is now looking for a family where someone will be home all of the time.
Basil is a very loving and affectionate boy but does get very excited and giddy. He loves being outside exploring and meeting new people, so would suit a very active home.
Basil has met a number of the dogs here and although he gets on well with them, he is unsure of how to interact at times and can be a little too excitable and giddy for some.
Moving forward, Basil will require ongoing training and socialisation around other dogs.
Whilst here, we have discovered that Basil likes to escape! He is VERY bouncy and has cleared a 6ft barrier! This is something potential adopters must take into consideration when applying. His new home will need a secure high walled or fenced garden in order to confine him to keep him safe.
He is looking for a patient and understanding family with owners who have had experience previously owning a dog before. Who are able to commit their time to working with him. Children in the household must be over the age of 16 years and he is unable to live with cats.
