This beautiful boy is Alvin

Alvin came into our care as a stray and we quickly realised that he has functional blindness in both eyes.

When he first arrived he was very nervous however with time he has come out of his shell and the staff have fallen in love with his cheeky personality and playful nature.

We feel Alvin would benefit from a home with another dog, however we would stress this would have to be a dog that would bare in mind is sight is not 100% and one that is not too boisterous – subject to a successful dog meet.

We recommend people research both breeds before applying too (Basset X Dachshund) as we believe him to be a mix of both breeds. Also potential owners need to consider that he is a young pup so will need basic training and socialisation.

Due to Alvin coming to us as a stray we have no history on him therefore we suggest a home with children 10+ – subject to a successful meet.
