Local institution Cheshire Dogs’ Home in Grappenhall was lucky enough to be chosen as Marks & Spencer Stockton Heath’s Charity of the Year for 2022. This involves M&S Stockton Heath fundraising for the Dogs’ Home on an ongoing basis by having donation buckets in store.
The team at M&S have also had opportunities to visit Cheshire Dogs’ Home and volunteer their time on a variety of tasks. This has included team-building activities such as painting kennels as well as meeting and walking resident dogs on a weekly basis.
Meanwhile, Cheshire Dogs’ Home staff and volunteers have also done bag packing at the store to raise funds, and are due to do this again on 28th May.
Anna Stansfield, Home Manager at Cheshire Dogs’ Home, says: “It’s so generous of M&S Stockton Heath to have chosen us as their Charity of the Year, and it’s very meaningful for us that staff from a local store come to spend time here at the Home. Over the years we’ve been keen to build lasting relationships with local businesses, and this is a great example of that.”
