This handsome boy is Silvio.  He was very nervous and scared when he first came into us, he would retreat to the back of the kennel whenever the staff went in. Over the last couple of weeks the staff have slowly gained his trust and he is happy now to greet them and have a fuss.  He’s such a lovely boy that just needs time and support to gain his confidence around new people and surroundings.  His favourite time of the day is his off lead time in our compound playing with toys.  He will play with them for a bit and then come back over to you for some reassurance.  We are looking for a home that has previous experience with large breed nervous dogs.  The potential adopter will have to commit to multiple regular meet and greets to allow Silvio to get to know them before he goes to his new home.  With lots of patience and TLC Silvio will become the confident boy we know he can be. He would benefit from a private secure garden so he can safely have some off lead time outside.

Silvio has interacted with other dogs whilst in our care but is very nervous and unsure around them so we feel he would be best rehomed as the only dog in the home so he can take his time getting used to dogs at his own pace whilst he is out on walks with the full support of his new adopter. He would definitely benefit from training classes where he could be around other dogs in a controlled environment.

As Silvio came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on him and as he is so nervous we would prefer any children/visiting children to be 14+ years.
