This stunning girl is Opal! Opal was very scared and nervous when she first came into us so the staff have spent a lot of time with her to win her around and she has slowly gained some confidence. Once she has got to know you she will show you her affectionate and friendly side.  She loves her off lead time in the compound playing with her toys and chasing tennis balls, her tail is constantly wagging.  If she’s not in the compound she is out exploring on a walk, she is strong on the lead so will need continued lead training. Once she has burned off her excess energy she will cuddle up in her bed with her favourite cuddly toys. We are looking for an experienced owner for Opal that have previous experience with nervous large breed dogs.  She would benefit from a private secure garden. The potential owner will need to commit to multiple meet and greets so Opal can get to know them before the adoption can take place.

Opal has interacted with other dogs whilst in our care but is very unsure, so we feel she would be best rehomed as the only dog in the home where the adopter can continue her socialisation with other dogs to gain her confidence around them.

No cats for opal

As Opal came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on her and as she can be very nervous around new people we would like any children in the home to be 16+ years.
