Meet Piper!  Piper can be a little nervous when first meeting new people, but give her a little time and she soon comes around and her sweet personality soon shines through.  Once she gets to know you, she absolutely adores fuss and attention.  In fact, when she sees someone she knows, she gets so excited that she does the most adorable little happy dance!  Piper enjoys getting out and about for walks, exploring her surroundings and having a good sniff along the way.  She also loves being brushed and enjoys a bit of pampering.  She will need some basic training to help her settle into home life and continue learning, so a patient understanding owner who is willing to put in the time with her would be ideal.  One thing potential adopters should be aware of is that Piper does scratch at the kennel door when left alone.  This is something her new family need to be mindful of and help her work through gently, as she settles into her new surroundings and feels safe enough to be left alone without getting stressed.  Piper is a lovely, affectionate little girl with so much love to give.  All she needs now is someone willing to give her the time, reassurance and attention she deserves.

Piper has interacted well with other dogs while in our care, so could potentially live with another small dog following a successful meet and greet (must be neutered).

As Piper came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on her so would prefer any children in the home to be 12+ years.

We are unsure how she would react around cats.

If you have a holiday booked in the next 3 months, please wait until you return to apply for a dog.

*Applications that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge.
