Meet Skye!  Skye is a super-friendly, affectionate and incredibly playful little girl who is full of puppy energy.  She is a real cheeky character, and given the opportunity, would happily play all day long!  Staff have affectionately nicknamed her ‘baby shark’ because Skye is very nippy and mouthy.  Like many young puppies, she is still learning appropriate ways to interact, and she can be quite enthusiastic with her teeth! She does also jump up to greet people and can be a little over-excited.  Skye is also a bit of an escape artist and is incredibly curious about what is going on around her.  When staff are cleaning her kennel, she thinks it’s playtime – chasing the squeegee and trying to bite their wellies!  Her cheeky antics can be very funny, but they also show just how much guidance and training this little girl needs.  Skye is looking for an active, committed and experienced owner who understands that puppies require time, patience and consistency.  She will need plenty of mental stimulation, appropriate exercise and positive training to help her learn how to channel all that puppy energy.  Her new adopter will need to work on her house training, lead training and building good manners and impulse control.  Puppy training classes would be highly recommended to give Skye and her new family a positive foundation and help her develop into a happy, well-mannered adult dog.  Skye is a lovely, affectionate little character with bags of potential, but she does need a lot of work.  She isn’t looking for a home that expects an easy ready-made puppy.  She needs someone who is prepared to put in the time, patience and consistency that she deserves.  Her ideal adopter would be active, patient, experienced and committed to her training and development.  If you are looking for a puppy who will keep you entertained, challenge you, make you laugh and fill your days with fun, this very special little ‘baby shark’ could be the girl for you.  Skye will need a private secure garden.

Skye has interacted with other dogs while in our care, she can be very barky and unsure around them.  She is very under-socialised with other dogs so will need to be the only dog in the home where her new adopter will commit to building up her confidence around other dogs in a positive way and in a controlled environment.  This could be done by attending puppy training classes as mentioned previously.

No cats or small furries for Skye.

As Skye can be very nippy and mouthy we would prefer any children/visiting children in the home to be 14+ years.
