Meet Cleveland!  At around 32kg, Cleveland is a big lad who is still very much a puppy at heart.  He is boisterous, lively and full of enthusiasm, and he absolutely loves people and getting attention.  He can be a little too enthusiastic at times and will often jump up when greeting people, so his new adopter will need to be prepared for a large, bouncy youngster who hasn’t quite realised just how big he is!  Cleveland is a typical 10 month old puppy – fun, energetic, affectionate and still learning about the world.  He will need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and, most importantly, a family who is committed to continuing training and helping him mature into the lovely adult dog we know he can become.  We feel Cleveland would be best suited to an active family with experience of large, boisterous dogs, who understand that training a young large breed dog takes time, patience and consistency.  He is looking for a home that will continue his basic training and work on his manners.  Help him learn that four paws on the floor is the best way to get attention, Give him clear, consistent boundaries.  Be patient while he grows from a bouncy puppy into a well-mannered adult and understand that, although he may be 32kg, Cleveland still thinks he’s a tiny puppy!  He will need a private secure garden.

Cleveland has socialised well with other dogs whilst in our care, although he is very bouncy and playful with them.  We do feel he could be rehomed with another energetic dog of similar size following a successful meet and greet (must be neutered).

As Cleveland came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on him so would prefer any children in the home to be 16+ years.
