Meet Dorothy! She was a little nervous for the first few days when she came into us but it didn’t take her long for her to gain confidence and show us her lovely personality.  She is a happy, giddy girl with a playful nature and often does a few zoomies for you.  She can be quite boisterous when she’s excited and does have a habit of jumping up to greet people, so she will benefit from continued training and guidance in her new home.  Dorothy also loves lots of attention and isn’t shy about asking for it – she’ll often have a little whine to let you know she would like some fuss!  In her kennel, she has a funny little habit of moving her bed around, making herself comfortable exactly how she likes it.  She already knows some basic commands and is eager to engage, making her a great candidate for further positive reinforcement training. We are looking for an active home for her where she can go on lots of long walks and adventures and get plenty of mental stimulation each day.  An experienced owner with previous knowledge of training very boisterous and active Staffies would be an advantage. She would benefit from a private secure garden.

When she first arrived with us Dorothy had scarring on her muzzle, and as she was a stray with no previous history we are unsure how this came about.

Dorothy has socialised with other dogs whilst in our care, and is quite nervous around them, so we feel she would be best rehomed as the only dog in the home where the new adopter can slowly build up her confidence around other dogs in a controlled environment with lots of positive reinforcement.

No cats for Dorothy.

We would like any children in the home to be 14+ years as Dorothy can be very bouncy and boisterous, and as came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on her.
