This handsome boy is Rio!  He is searching for a loving home where he can be the centre of attention.  He is a sweet, friendly lad who absolutely loves people and enjoys nothing more than a good fuss and plenty of affection.  A real social butterfly, he likes to say hello to everyone he meets and is always keen to make new friends.  His happy, outgoing personality makes him a joy to be around.  He can be very vocal in the kennels and isn’t shy about letting everyone know he’s there.  Once out and about, he enjoys exploring the world around him, although he can be strong on the lead and will benefit from some ongoing training and guidance from his new adopter.  This clever boy also has a bit of a mischievous side and has shown himself to be quite the escape artist, so he will need a private secure garden, along with owners who are mindful of doors, gates, and opportunities for adventure!  With the right home, patience and consistency, this affectionate little character will make a fantastic companion.

Rio has socialised well with other dogs whilst in our care, although he does bark at them at first, but once he has met them he settles down.  We do feel he would be best rehomed as the only dog where he can get used to other dogs in a more calmer and relaxed way out on walks with his new adopters patient guidance and reassurance.

As Rio came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on him so would prefer any children in the home to be 12+ years.
