Shawn is a very sweet 5yr old Bichon X who came to us as a stray in a very sorry, neglected state. To make him more comfortable, Shawn had to be shaved on arrival, subsequently, shaved Shawn now looks like a very cute little shorn sheep!
Initially Shawn was reluctant to engage with staff, he didn’t like to be handled and didn’t understand the concept of affection. Given time and patience Shawn is beginning to understand that life can actually be fun and interesting.
He’s a unique, quirky little man who enjoys his walks and time out of kennels, especially with his furry friends; he enjoys zoomies in the compound and playing with toys, although he can be quite possessive of what he sees as his.
Little by little he is enjoying a good ear scratch, chest rub and even a belly rub.. but it’s a gentle process at his pace. His tail is wagging now and we think it’s time he found his special someone. Do you have the patience, understanding and willingness to invest in Shawn’s ongoing training and enable him to find his happy ever after, and be the best he can be..?
We feel Shawn will need a reasonably calm home environment, younger humans 16+ please.
