Hi, I’m Scar! I’m a bouncy Bulldog cross who arrived into Manchester Dogs home as a stray in January.
Some of you may recognise me, perhaps you’ve browsed my page before? I’ve been here for a while now and haven’t had the easiest of times. When I arrived, it became evident to the staff that I was displaying signs of lameness in one leg. After further investigations by the vet team, they discovered I was suffering from something called cruciate ligament damage.
Despite experiencing pain, I continued to display a happy and playful nature, always keen to say hello to everyone I met and always appreciated a fuss. But the damage was taking a toll on my mood and I was starting to feel a little down when having to spend so much time resting in my kennel.
However, one day a lovely lady from the vet department collected me from my kennel and took me to receive the surgery I so desperately needed. They also fixed my cherry eye too, which I must admit, was becoming very uncomfortable to live with.
It’s safe to say I’ve been through a bit of a tough time but I’ve tried my best to take it all in my stride. I have been on plenty of bed rest since my surgery and I recently began short walks which I have LOVED and the staff here say I have responded well to.
I’m a friendly, cheerful chap looking for a fun loving family who I can share leisurely walks with throughout the day and spend our evenings together curled up on the sofa.
I do like other dogs, and have gotten on well with many of the dogs here. Although, some have complained I’m a little too much for them at times, so it’s best I am the only dog in the household.
I’m always eager to meet new people and adore attention but can get a little giddy at times, so I’m looking for a home with older children aged over 14 years.
If you feel you can offer me my happy ever after, please fill in an application form.
