Introducing the very handsome Obi, who aged 3 yrs came to us as a stray and was surprisingly never claimed. Obi is a very unique, totally laid back, chunky character, who is most definitely totally unimpressed with kennel life.
Like many of our residents, he came to us as a stray, so we have no knowledge of his previous history; however, what has become apparent is that Obi doesn’t seem to be familiar with the simple concept of going for a walk, and this aspect of his development continues to be a work in progress. He is a very sweet character who loves nothing more than a smushy cuddle, and there have been no problems at all when it comes to handling him.
When he is pottering about, what does cheer him up is the company of other dogs, although he is a little wary at first, it doesn’t take long for him to happily sniff and even frolic with his furry companions. He’s even learning to play with his toys and is very partial to a cocktail sausage..
Obi just needs to be given the opportunity to grow in confidence, learn to have fun and essentially be more dog.
His new owners will need patience and understanding, young humans 14+, and maybe a suitable furry canine companion subject to a successful introduction.
If you feel you could offer this chunky chap the perfect loving home, please complete an online application form. Thank you
