Marley is an excitable boy who came to us as a stray.
When you first meet Marley you see he is a very giddy character and loves nothing better than going out on walks. We are doing ongoing training and socialisation with Marley and we feel like the new owners would need to bare this in mind when applying to adopt him.
Here at the dogs home he has been able to mix with other dogs and he seems friendly towards them and enjoys getting very giddy when he sees other dogs as he loves nothing better than having playtime with them. Being a lurcher he does have a high prey drive so would not be suited to be in a home with a cat or any small animals. Anyone looking to offer him a home would need to be aware of this whilst on walks also and it is highly unlikely that he would be able to go off lead in unsecure areas due to this.
Once he gets the excitement out of his system he loves nothing better than to settle down and have cuddles and he is a very affectionate boy.
Due to Marley coming to us as a stray we have no history on him therefore we suggest a home with children no younger than 12 years old – subject to a successful meet.
